I wanted to find a group of people that would go on adventures with me, laugh with me, study until 2am with me, and above all else love and support me no matter what happens. "I transferred to George Mason University as a sophomore and was nervous about making friends and getting involved. I participated in Fall Formal Recruitment 2013 because I was encouraged to join Greek Life by my family. I walked into the Alpha Xi Delta room on the first night and it felt like I belonged. The girls were so welcoming and so accepting of everyone. I noticed how the sisters each had their own unique personality yet had a strong sisterhood all together. They made me feel at ease immediately and I really enjoyed my time with them. I was so happy when they extended a bid to me on bid day. During the new member period, they made sure all of us felt like we were a part of the sorority and that we were enjoying ourselves as we got to know all of the sisters. Throughout my time in Alpha Xi Delta I have become a lot more confident in myself, have made amazing new friends, have become more involved in student life at Mason and I am very proud of the person I have become.
